Quran memorization classes - Hifz classes
In addition to our Quran reading course, we also offer Quran memorization program. This course is designed for both male and female students who are already skilled in reading the Quran with Tajweed. The memorization classes last for an hour and consist of three segments:
- Introduction of new material (referred to as Sabaq)
- Review of lessons learned in the past week (known as Sabaqi)
- Revision of previously memorized content (called Manzil).
Memorizing the Quran typically demands significant effort from students. However, at OQC, we have committed tutors who specialize in Hifz classes. With their expert guidance, students find the memorization process more manageable. Throughout the duration of the course, our teachers provide practical tips and techniques that enhance students’ ability to memorize the Quran effectively.

Our Quran sessions take place through audio and video calls in a screen-sharing format, utilizing platforms like Zoom or Skype. Getting started with our Quran lessons is easy. You will need: a device such as a computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone; headphones (if you have them); a reliable internet connection; and an account on either Zoom or Skype, both of which are free to use. Each session lasts between 30 to 40 minutes.
The progress of a student is influenced by various factors, including the frequency of their sessions each week, their age, and their level of maturity. Therefore, it's difficult to provide a definitive timeline for progress. Generally speaking, a beginner student typically completes the Noorani Qaida course within approximately 2 to 3 months. In contrast, that same student may take around 2 to 3 years to finish the Quran learning course (Nazira).
Yes, we are a Sunni institution, but we maintain a policy that prohibits discussions on sectarian issues among both teachers and students.
To participate in classes, students will need a device (laptop, PC, tablet or mobile), an internet connection, and either a Skype or Zoom account.
Quran lessons are delivered via Skype or Zoom using screen-sharing features where the instructor shares their screen with the student.
